Here’s What’s Happening

Can you believe how much progress we’ve made since breaking ground in April 2019? Almost exactly a year ago, we were standing on empty lot of dirt with shovels in our hands, and now we’re starting work on the exterior façade stucco along SW 13th Street and the landscape footings in the courtyards for the cabanas and outdoor fitness equipment are going in! Our close proximity to the University of Florida as well as downtown Gainesville and the ever-popular midtown makes it easy to see this progress while commuting down 13th street.

Since this is Florida, one of our biggest and most popular amenities is going to be our resort style pool – we’re excited to say that the beach entry pool’s concrete shell is now complete! Whether you’re taking a break from classes, work, or just want to soak up the Florida sunshine, our pool courtyard offers it all. We know you’re going to LOVE our south beach style pool courtyard (and your friends will be jealous).

Another exciting milestone for ALSANDER is our parking garage! The hassles of parking while living in an apartment close to UF are no more – our parking garage offers plenty of car and scooter parking for our residents. The parking garage structure precast is completed and the electrical work and coring have begun. Haven’t reserved a parking space yet? Now is definitely the time to call and reserve one!

Our controlled access building has a total of 235 luxury apartments spread across four stories of gorgeous interior hallways. The 1st wing of apartments is in the final finished stages, including the hallways being painted, with the 2nd and 3rd wings right behind it with painting/cabinets/flooring. The 4th wing drywall hanging is wrapping up, 5th wing insulation and drywall is starting, and 6th and 7th wings are wrapping up MEP’s and final inspections and will start going into drywall soon. Say all that 5 times fast! Basically, we’re making great progress and can’t wait to share some sneak peeks of the interiors soon!
